We are excited to announce two new collections for spool.  Giada Forte from Italy and a collection from The Netherlands, called Humanoid.  Both collections are beautiful and we are selling through it fast.

These collections are two in one (elegant & easy).

I decided to be a little more helpful and put two different looks together focusing on one or two items that way you can see the versatility of each piece.  We are salivating over this gorgeous ivory lace coat.

#1: I paired the jacket with hanii y silk minty green tank and mother velvet skinny’s to give you a great casual look.  If you are wanting to add a little sparkle throw on a beautiful necklace.

#2: in this photo I styled a humanoid navy dress with the lace jacket and a simple giada forte coral beaded necklace.  This is a great transitioning outfit going from day to night.  Stunning for a nice dinner or a few drinks.

#3: This is just and all around fun outfit! The top is a clover canyon loose tank with sequence detail. The top is great for either night or day the colors are so vibrant. As for the bottoms I styled with the raquel allegra shred legging it gives this flirty outfit a little bit of an edge.

#1:  the lightweight soft cardigan and necklace are paired with a humanoid grey/beige pinstripe drawstring dress.  The perfect throw on outfit.  The look is absolutely effortless but looks great.

#2: in the second photo I styled a crisp white silk camisole from giada forte with a black legging. Dressing the outfit up a little but keeping it cozy!

This dress is stunning and one of the best pieces of the collection.  The color is a beautiful coral cinnamon.  It is so whimsical and the perfect piece for this spring, light weight and flowy.  It’s perfect for vacation or a lunch out with the girls.  The look is just so fresh and ethereal.

My favorite season is here! It’s time to revamp your wardrobe. Color is about to take over in a big way; so brace yourself.

We have gotten in some amazing things from mm6, raquel allegra, hanii y., and iro. Here are a few great looks for spring!

hanii y.: ruffle beige top $280; camel origami pencil skirt $280 and emerald green jacket $645.

here is the same outfit without the jacket. this is a very sophisticated look, but adding the jacket gives it a great pop of color

navy hanii y. dress $360 with mm6 white belt $175. The dress is so elegant, and depending on the belt you add it can dress it up or down.

hanii y. dotted green top $280 with cream bermuda shorts (sold out). This is such a fresh look, it really gets you in the sunshine mood!

hanii y. layered tank $240 and pencil skirt $280 with m. patmos jacket $580. I love the color of the layer tank the mint is so stunning on just about everyone.

If you don't like too much color this is a great way to keep it subtle white collar tunic $350 and pink belt $135 from mm6 paired with skinny mother jeans. This is a great example of adding the perfect accessories to an outfit and seeing how it completely transforms the look.

iro cream blazer $420 mm6 hot pink dress $235. This is one of my favorite outfits! The color is just so over the top wonderful! Adding the blazer gives it a great classic look, and tones down the shocking pink!

red iro tweed shred jacket $505 with raquel allegra tie cocoon dress $480. This iro red jacket speaks for its self! This is a jacket i would wear religiously! It will go with just about everything, and is a perfect go to piece.

Start peeling of the layers! The season is changing so out with the old and in with the new! Start by adding a little color in your everyday outfit and you are set! Color is my obsession and am so excited that this spring it has taken over!

As we all know the golden globes is to honor the talented movie industry that provide comedy, drama, action and romance to our lives through film. What isn’t as clear is that this event also sets the mood for the fashion world. Having the right dress in the right color with complementing accessories is crucial. It is amazing how no ones dress is revealed until the day of the event, but there are so many similarities in the trends.

Here are some obvious highlights on the red carpet… obvious trends and in my opinion the most fabulous pulled together looks.

Emma Stone

everything about her outfit is glamorous... her belt is to DIE for! gina summed it up by saying, "she rocked it yet again". I completely agree!

 Dianna Argon

This dress absolutely spoke for itself. This is a work of art, the lazier cut swans give this dress such an elegant and extravagant look. What a firecracker!

Viola Davis 

This is a unique shade of red and dose wonders for violas skin tone! This dress mastered the perfect combination of classic and sexy, with the simplicity of the dress and the sexy slit up the leg. I think it is easy to say that Viola made this dress look amazing

Red was in the spot light at this event. It was worn by a number of different actresses with different looks, making it obvious that if you find the right shade you can wear it too.

Kate Beckinsale

this is the definition of sophisticated. This really speaks for its self the cut dose wonders for her amazing body.

 Charlize Theron

Charlize+Dior= Bomb shell! she is a beautiful women in such a sexy/ elegant dress. She really put people on the red carpet to shame in my opinion. I mean she picked such a soft color and made it such a statement. She really turned heads in this one!

Jessica Alba

One of americas hottest women alive, wearing a little more purple based blush with exquisite detail. Jessica looked amazing at the golden globes as always... how can she go wrong she is stunning.

These sexy women wore such a simple classic color, and made it look fabulous. They all looked completely elegant without taking away there sexy side. This color is huge for spring and will make you look just as amazing!

♦Keeping Hollywood classic in BLACK tie♦

Kate Winslet

Kate is a classic beauty. She really gave off the image of old hollywood at this event. She looks completely timeless.

 Mila Kunis

The new spokes person for Dior. Mila really rocked the black here. The body of the dress was just so flattering. The color could have looked to hard on this dark beauty but the style really softened the look.

Some may think wearing black and white is cheating and an easy way out. Let me just say you can easily go wrong with black. You don’t want to look too dark, hard, or boring. With just the right style and look you can look like a bomb shell.

All of these colors are going to be huge this season. The golden globes really set a positive mood for this seasons color palette. So ladies get excited no color just isn’t an option this spring!

This Spring you have choices!…

 These are perfect to show off your neon or pastel side! Both outerwear pieces are amazing. The leather jacket is buttery soft and hugs the body making it a sexy fit. The bolero by Camilla is shocking pink. It can be worn as a jacket or turn it around to rock it as a blouse. Gina rocked hers with a white cotton tank,  crisp white YSL tuxedo pants and a multi strand black jet crystal necklace.

These are great examples of spring’s color palette intensities.

Hello Ladies it’s Bella here! As most of you know we just got in MM6. This is our first season carrying them; Gina and I are so very excited about the collection! As I was playing around with the pieces today I just fell in love!

Here are some ideas I have come up with…

MM6 oversized knit Cardigan $335: Also available in black. This sweater is asymmetrical and has buttons all the way down the front and back making it possible to adjust the fit and style.

MM6 cotton adjustable drawstring dress $335: This dress is cut in a V in the back just like the front. The dress is paired with MM6 crackled white leather side bag $470.

MM6 asymmetrical blouse $305: This top has a back swag, and can also be worn off the shoulder. The blouse is paired with our new Alice Temperley long lace skirt $395: The skirt is fitted around the hips and loosens up at the bottom.

MM6 Camisole $195: This is an amazing light weight top, there is a gather in the front giving it a little swag on both sides.

MM6 long sleeve grey top $240: This top is high in the front and low in the back. MM6 Bermuda short with a swag in the front $375: MM6 multi buckle belt $175: this belt has additional buckles you can use for accessories like a bracelet.

I am so excited to introduce a new collection called Co.  It arrived last week and blew out in two days here at spool.  Here is their website to give a little more info on them.  www.co-collections.com

The leathers, furs and the long silk skirt are too die for.  Take a peek below.  The blue and red fox scarves will be in here few weeks but the silk skirt, fur vest and bolero jacket sold out in 2 hours. The bolero jacket is a knitted fur so it is very light-weight and perfect for Southern CA.  The buttery leather top has ribbed cashmere side panels.  We styled it with the long silk skirt however the leather top is great with jeans and be fab with a beautiful wide leg trouser.

I will be doing a re-order on the fur pieces and should be expecting more in about 4-5 weeks.  Just in time for early fall :)

It is a beautiful collection and I can not wait to see what they have in store for spring 2012.

Paint by numbers…  Get your color on by sporting bright colors for summer soiree’s.  We like to pair bright pieces with layers of colorful bangles, bright scarves and throw in a signature neon clutch just to keep it interesting.  Whether sipping champagne at sunset by ocean or on a yacht (if you have one call me) touring
around Catalina… But of course no summers day outing would be any fun if your feet are a hot mess. We suggest pairing the hot summer colors with some cool wedges. Preferably a cork wedge. Easy on the feet and lower back.  Should you have to play hostess with the mostess, you will look and feel fabulous. And that’s what it’s all about.
